Recent courses

Two great courses in the last week:

An Introduction to Coding K-6 in Coffs Harbour had some teachers trying coding and programming for the first time with great success. And I think teachers went away a little less daunted by it, and understanding how the iPad can be used in the classroom to teach students the basics and fundamentals of coding in fun and engaging ways.

I presented a great PD session today in Sydney, Adapting your CAPA Programs to Include iPads. I love seeing teachers excited about and iPads in education, and even staying back afterwards to keep working!

I really enjoying meeting teachers from all over the state, encouraging them to see the possibilities of iPads in the classroom, and also learning from them as we all share ideas.

iPads in action

Fantastic to see Narranga Public School putting into practice what they’ve learned with iPads and using them innovatively by displaying students’ movies made with iMovie and having an interactive display in their Art Show using the Aurasma app for some augmented reality.

Testimonial

So lovely to receive this kind of feedback from teachers. Thank you Kim!

“Working with Bev in the classroom was a fantastic way to see iPads in action in the classroom. All the students were engaged in quality learning experiences through a variety of creative apps. Then I was lucky enough to attend one of Bev’s iPad training courses. She not only introduced me to new apps but demonstrated how to embed iPad technology into my program, giving students a deeper understanding of using a variety of applications together to produce a quality piece of work. I walked away from the day feeling inspired!”
